Overview

This course explores the differences in the hardware configurations and specifications of the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) E series, models, E990, E790 and E590. It also reviews the installation procedures and setup of the Maintenance PC (MPC).

You will practice maintenance and configuration change of new and different parts.

Successfully passed the exam HQT-4180 or HQT-4150 (within last 3 years)

Outcomes

When you complete this course, you should be able to:

Discuss the specifications of the VSP E series in comparison to Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) F series and VSP G series
Identify the functions of the internal components of VSP E series
Describe the back-end design and layout for each model, including drive trays and disk types
Compare the maintenance and GUI of different VSP E models
Describe the new password policy for VSP E series
